About MrFixable

MrFixable is a Mac menu bar app with 68 fixes for things macOS gets wrong. It's made by Mohammed Chaara, who also signs the guides on this site.

How the guides are made

  1. The topics come from what people actually search for when something about their Mac bothers them, from keyword research done for this site.
  2. The drafts are written with the help of AI (Anthropic's Claude). It's fast at turning research into a clear first version; it's also wrong sometimes, which is why the next steps exist.
  3. Every macOS fact is checked against Apple's own support pages, and every fact about another app against its maker's site. Those pages are linked where the fact appears and listed at the end of each guide.
  4. What MrFixable does is taken from its own code, not from memory or marketing.
  5. The steps are tested on a real Mac: a MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) running macOS 26.1 Tahoe. Screenshots marked as real were taken on that Mac.
  6. Mohammed Chaara reviewed every page by hand before it went live.
